Small Groups
Small groups are an integral part of life at St. Philip's. The purpose is to build strengthen our church family. We focus on the study of scripture, mutual encouragement for our Christian journey through life, and our service to the community around us. Small groups are comfortable places where it is okay to ask questions and where we figure out answers together. You will find small groups held throughout the southeast area of Orlando.

Eight Things We Know About Small Groups
1. In every growing community one of the great needs is to know others and be known by them. Cell groups naturally provide for those needs.
2. Cell groups provide the structural means for a church to be potentially limitless in its growth and its ability to reach out to the world.
3. The best way to grow deeper in one’s walk in Christ is to disciple others. Cell groups provide increasing venues for disciples to disciple others.
4. Healthy cell groups will become the backbone of a healthy church. Each cell carries in it the DNA that will shape the quality of a healthy the Church.
5. Cell groups are good venues in which to equip Christians to do their ministry and exercise their gifts. They discover they actually can be leaders. 6. Cell groups expand the quality and capability of a church’s pastoral care to its own members. 7. It has been a proven model throughout church history; Jesus with his disciples, St. Paul and the growing house churches, John Wesley and his “Method” of small group ministry. It has been said often, that for a Church to grow large, it must grow small.
8. If the day comes that buildings or pastors are taken away, the church goes on.
